In other news; I QUIT MY JOB!

I've been working as an animator/vfx dude for a looong time. And it has left me with ZERO time for personal projects, that's why you've seen a lot less plusone and just submissions in general from me.

Here's the new plan: Making a hell of a lot of short videos/films, post them on the net and do some random job on the side, just to pay rent. Expect more bumblebee and cat videos, but with more awesome attached. Trust me it's going to be great

Thanks a lot for your support, I probably wouldn't be doing this if it weren't for your encouragment over the years. YOU ROCK

Recently I directed a music video for a local band in my town called Trainspotters. I didn't wanna make the "cash-bling-money-hoes" hiphop video but rather something that felt more real (aside from the naked knight with the magic sword).

If you haven't heard, Kanye West a.k.a "Gay Fish" went banana-sandwich on the VMA's yesterday. In the spirit of comedy o I fired up After Effects and did a quick remix, just for fun.

Hello friends.

A couple of weeks ago I worked on a music video for the band Amorphis. I had one week to complete all the visual effects shots and there's visual effects in virtually every shot so it was pretty insane, but with coffeine pumping through my vains I managed to pull it off just in time.
Of course there's a lot of things to improve, but considering the timeframe I'm happy with the result.

Currently working on a music video for The Rasmus and the singer from Nightwish. Very exciting!
But I plan to take a break from animation/vfx for a while and focus more on personal projects, like posting stuff here, making short films, maybe even some music videos who knows.

What are you new years resolutions?

I talked to a friend the other day about working in the U.S. He had worked at a motion graphics studio in L.A for about a year and from what I heard it didn't sound that great. He said that everything was very hierarchic and that as an animator he didn't have much say in the production, basically nothing at all. In fact he would get a lot of sh** for expressing his opinion to a "superior". In Sweden I guess things are similar in some jobs. But in the creative section, jobs that relate to advertising, animation etc the working conditions are usually very laid back and everybody is treated equal regardless of "rank". So I'm looking for some insight in all this from people in the U.S. Generally how are the working conditions? And I'm not looking to bash the U.S in any way, just want to know if this is generally true or if it was an exeption to where my friend was hired.

I'm looking to buy a new mp3 player, not an ipod though. Just want to be able to plug it in, insert my music in a folder and press play, don't need itunes to over complicate things. It should also handle videos. Do you guys have any tips/recommendations?

I'm not very familiar with illustrator and need some help. I'm sure this is incredibly easy stuff but I have no clue what to do right now. I've exported some paths from photoshop and now I want to fill those paths. Problem is that it fills everything, even the intersections that I want transparent. How do I fix this?

I'm reviving the ol' plusone comics and need a good domain name. As you may know getting a nice .com domain that isn't taken can be somewhat difficult. Okay listen to this, you're not gonna belive it; plusonecomics.com is TAKEN!!! plusone.com okay I can understand that, but plusonecomics?! Come-on!!

I've been trying to think of a good alternative but I just can't think of any.. So I'm asking for your help. It needs to be a .com.

I've also contemplated renaming the whole comic to something else, still keep the name plusone for the main character though.

Anyhow, I'm out of inspiration so please help me here.

I've got a couple of job offers from some higher profile firms in Los Angeles and I think working there would be a great way to push my creativity and skillset to a whole new level. + it seems like a really cool place to be. But I haven't made up my mind yet, anybody here from L.A with a little insider info on how it is to live there?

The one thing I'm most worried about is getting mugged/stabbed/shot. Haven't even seen a real gun in my entire life.. And from what I've heard there's alot of them over there

I enjoy posting stuff on Deviant Art and I like posting my works in high resolution without any watermarks so you can enjoy them in its full glory. What I don't like is when some assholes decides to steal my work for their own beneficial gain. That's happened to me a couple of times now and it's really starting to piss me off.

Yesterday I found out that [link] are using my plusone wallpaper to promote their stupid-ass website. I especially like how under "terms and conditions" it reads: "All graphics, logos and branding contained on the MSNemoticons.org site are the sole property of MSNemoticons.org; distribution or copying of such content is expressly prohibited."

Great going assholes, now apply the same fucking terms and conditions to yourself.

I've tried emailing them but they ignore me. What do I do? I don't wanna be associated with their stupid smiley-site. Is there something DA can do to stop them? I really need advice.
